President 2006 - 2007 Treasurer 2005 - 2006 BS in Computer Engineering, 2007 Pursuing MS in Electrical Engineering Stanford University Stanford, California My ECE/WECE position was one of my best experiences at Georgia Tech and it has come a long way in helping me out with my job and grad school applications. Being a part of WECE allowed me to meet Alumni in Industry, fellow students in ECE, and network with professors from the ECE department. Through these interactions, I was able to better understand my own goals and define the best ways to achieve them. WECE also provided me a way to interact with other Women in ECE and I am still in touch with some of them. It was a great organization for meeting all the fellow female students and adding a splash of pink to the normally very grey social life at Georgia Tech! |

My experience as one of the co-founders of WECE has helped me out in my new post-graduation roles as an officer in both the Tucson professional section of the Society of Women Engineers and in the Arizona Georgia Tech Club. |

President 2008 - 2009 BS in Electrical Engineering, 2009 Operations Leadership Development Program Operations Excellence Engineer Eaton Corporation- Electrical Division Asheville, North Carolina The women who walk the halls of Van Leer are incredibly diverse in backgrounds, tastes, and motivations for pursuing their chosen fields. I learned most from them how to listen without filters, to be patient and persistent, and that communication is about much more than what comes out of your mouth. |

Webmaster 2005 - 2007 BS in Electrical Engineering, 2007 Associate Staff Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab Laurel, Maryland The most important thing I learned at Georgia Tech was how to learn. How to break down a problem, how to find resources to help, and the persistence to keep at it - these are all skills I use everyday at work. The challenging ECE curriculum and the professors definitely played a big role in reinforcing these skills! |
